The Archives Community has a mandate to represent the interests, issues, and trends of the field of archivist and records management as it pertains to best practice, Indigenous Knowledge, advocacy, and training.

Your Community Chair is Don Johnson of the Provincial Archives of Saskatchewan.

Culture & Heritage

The Culture and Heritage Community has a mandate to represent the interests, issues, and trends of the field of social and educational outreach through culture and heritage as it pertains to best practice, Indigenous Knowledge, advocacy, and training.

Your Community Chair is Catherine C. Cole of Inuit Heritage Trust.

Teaching & Learning

The Teaching & Learning Community has a mandate to represent the interests, issues, and trends of the field of Indigenous curricula, instruction, pedagogy as it pertains to best practice, Indigenous Knowledge, languages, advocacy, and training.

Your Community Chair is Dr. Stacy Allison Cassin of Dalhousie University.

Library

The Library Community has a mandate to represent the interests, issues, and trends of the field of school, academic, public, special and Indigenous libraries as it pertains to best practice, Indigenous Knowledge, advocacy, and training.

Your Community Chair is Feather Maracle of Six Nations Public Library.

Museum

The Museum Community has a mandate to represent the interests, issues, and trends of the field of curation and museology as it pertains to best practice, Indigenous Knowledge, advocacy, and training.

Your Community Chair is currently vacant, but is being managed by the Executive Committee. Council will appoint a member in May 2023.

Local Organization Community

The Local Organization Community has a mandate to represent the interests, issues, and trends of local organizations as it pertains to best practice, Indigenous Knowledge, advocacy, and training. This group is comprised

of Indigenous and Ally organizations and has a secondary mandate of information sharing of these areas across Communities.

Your At Large Member is Anne Carr-Wiggin of the University of Alberta.

Institutional Community

The Institutional Community has a mandate to represent the interests, issues, and trends of Institutions, Provincial/Territorial and Federal Associations, governments, and other large sector representation as it pertains to best practice, Indigenous Knowledge, advocacy, and training. This group is comprised of Indigenous and Ally institutions and has a secondary mandate of information sharing of these areas across Communities.

Your At Large Member is Elaine MacInnis of Dalhousie University.
