This week across Canada, we pause to honour the lives lost, cultures disrupted, and the enduring resilience of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples. The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a collective invitation to confront painful histories, current realities, and to commit to concrete steps towards healing the negative impacts of Residential Schools.
At NIKLA-ANCLA our mission is to unify and amplify the voices of Indigenous Peoples, nurturing a community of practice around Indigenous knowledge, cultural memory, language, and ways of knowing. Our work is committed to safeguarding Indigenous languages and cultural heritage, and ensuring those knowledges/languages are honoured and respected. For individuals and organizations in cultural memory professions committed to Truth & Reconciliation, we invite you to join us in our mission.
