As we approach the sacred time of the Summer Solstice this week, we want to take a moment to wish you a joyous Indigenous Peoples Day. This special day during National Indigenous History Month is a time to honour and celebrate First Nations, Métis, and Inuit. We recognize the unique heritage, diverse cultures, and deep knowledge held in these communities, and we aspire to uplift them in our work each day. While we honour and recognize Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21st, it is important to remember that Indigenous Peoples have lived—and continue to live—on the land now known as Canada every day. We all share a responsibility to live together in a spirit of mutual respect and understanding.
We would also like to express our gratitude to all those who participated in our 2025 Annual Gathering of Members. Your presence and insights made the meeting so productive, and we feel a stronger direction on how to pursue our organizational mandate as a result. We send our heartfelt thank you for showing up for this work.
Further, we would like to show our appreciation to Sam Cronk and his Inclusiv Group for their meticulous work on our governance review, making it possible to move forward together in a meaningful way with our updated by-laws and new governance model:

One of the major accomplishments of the meeting was the voting in of our new 2025 Council. We would like to thank all of the outgoing Council members, Donald Johnson, Catherine C. Cole, and Feather Maracle for their time, dedication, and service.
